What does this mean? What will they do to the Shin Megami Tensei franchise!? Well, nothing much. GameInformer cites that Sega guarantees that only the publishing will be changed.
“Essentially, nothing from the end-user point of view is changing. The Atlus brand will remain intact and visible. Sega says that it and Atlus will still act independently.”
Still, this does open up a whole new can of possibilities. What will come of this?

Does this mean more Hatsune Miku?
Question is… will it speed up localization, or lower the quality of localization?
@SashaBraus would love that I’m sure.
Well besides Sonic what does SEGA do bad, I mean their localizing of Yakuza is very slow though and that is a great injustice.
P5DAN confirmed
Evil…I love it
SPOILER
Did not actually read it muhahaha
Sega as acquired Atlus as well. So it comes as no surprise that Sega is now publishing Persona. However, from what I understand is that Sega is allowing Atlus to do there thing. Which means, it would be simply a label in our eyes and they would have little or no change in the game itself! Atleast that is what I understood from reading that article.
